GLOBAL DUDUK ACADEMY OPENS ITS DOORS ONLINE

Duduk artist and educator Canberk Ulaş has launched Global Duduk Academy, a new online learning platform bringing together his experience on stage and years of teaching.

The Academy grew from a question: how can the subtleties of playing the duduk be shared beyond individual lessons? Its approach combines a structured video curriculum with opportunities for personal feedback and learning together. Listening and close observation are central—not only to learning melodies, but to discovering the gestures and nuances that give the instrument its voice.

Following a celebration introducing the duduk and the Academy at STPLN in Malmö, the online platform opened on September 7, 2026. Within its first 48 hours, it reached its initial membership goal, welcoming learners from different countries and musical backgrounds.

For Ulaş, the launch marks a new chapter in sharing the instrument: creating a space where people can develop their playing, exchange experiences and build connections through music.
